Breaking Free

You weren’t how I thought you'd be
Who you are still remains a mystery to me
You play life like it’s one big game
Never regretting or feeling any pain

Must have been a fool to not see you for who you really are
Trying to get to your heart but the distance was far
I'll never make the same mistake again
You're cold and so heartless, there’s no need to pretend

You put on a show and I fell for your lies
I finally see that in you I can’t rely
How can you live life pretending to be something you’re not
I try to forget, but your voice...it still haunts

I’m breaking free from all your lies
I’m breaking free from your disguise
I’m breaking free from the pain you’ve caused
I’m breaking free from all your flaws
