I woke up this morning,
With my eyes closed,
I didn’t want to leave the dream,
Nor the warmth of the covers that layed on me.
I visioned my life different than it is,
I was laughing,
Not crying,
And living ,
Not dieing inside.
It was then I heard my alarm,
Sounding,
Ringing through this beauty beyond truth,
And slowly,
But swiftly,
Faded away from me.
I just sat up,
My eyes closed gently,
And hoped for it to return to me.
Resting my head within my palms,
And hoped the comfort,
Would return me
To where I belong.
Sadly,
It was far from truth.
Though fiction,
I hoped for it to come in view.
I asked softly,
In a voice only I could hear,
“Do dreams come any more nearer?”
Vaguely,
I had to rise,
But kept the moment in my eyes.
