Have you ever wanted someone you couldn’t have?
Yearned for someone that you couldn’t hold?
Wished for someone that wasn’t yours?

You spend each day seeing this person
Only to know that they belong to another
Watching them from a far off distance
Always with their significant other

You frown every time they hug
Sigh every time they’re together
Sulk every time they hold hands
Cry every time they kiss each other

Why is it you’ve fallen for this certain crush?
Knowing that you will just be heartbroken
Never to experience their love towards you
Only to be left alone as usual, soft-spoken

You want them because you can’t have them
Yearn for them because you can’t hold them
Wish for them because they weren’t yours
