To the one I let go

I miss you
More than you’ll ever know
I wish that I could speak these words to you
But I do not trust myself in full view

I miss the way your lips used to move across me
Giving me feelings of gladness and glee
Their sweet and sultry presence
Gave me reason for existence
And when you paused on my stomach
Saying that was your favorite part of me
That just blew me away

I miss the days we spent giggling
When we were in each other’s arms cuddling
I miss the way your eyes look
When staring back at me; how you’ve got me on a hook
I miss how I could always go to you
Whenever I had a problem and was feeling blue

I miss the night’s lying in your arms
Where I was forever safe and out of harm
I have dreams of you and I
While I am in bed with another looking at the sky
You are the one that I will forever adore
Forever more

I miss your arms around me
For I knew that love would forever surround me
How I wish that I never let you go
So that I didn’t have to miss you so
I’ll be forever haunted by your ghost
For I do not have the courage to let you go
