I was steady on my feet,
I wasn’t looking for much.
Until you came into my life,
Until I felt your touch.
I wondered where you were,
when I was hurting so bad.
When I felt so down,
So useless, so sad.
It was then I made my into the deepest valley,
I found you standing alone.
You were motionless,
With an expression of stone.
What if I lost you to a razorblade?
What if I didn’t have your hand?
What if you gave it all up according to a bigger plan?
And I sunk deeper,
Darker, darker, darkest depths of you.
I followed you here,
One of the selected few.
Your voice,
Your voice is still with me,
It lingers on,
Carrying on notes to a long dead song.
You’re my wall,
You’re my balance.
Not one day goes by,
That I’m not in fear of losing it.
But I was lost,
Just like you,
Please follow me out of the shadows,
As one of a selected few.
