I wish to feel the sand between my toes,
To feel all aglow,
To be the person I was before,
But it’s so far away,
From what I know.

I used to laugh,
Oh so much!,
I use to smile,
so constantly,
I use to be
Someone I loved,
But saying I do now,
Would be a lie
That would show through too much.

I remember the sun rays on my skin,
A golden brown it would leave,
Keeping me in a delightful beam.
I remember the high,
Of just being alive,
Made my heart rush
And my soul shine!

The past is now,
For I no more know how,
To be the person
I was before,
To have wings,
And sing the morning doves’ chord.
