I don’t know why
But this demon
Inside
Is trying to win me
Over
To take control

This demon inside begins
To take over my thoughts
I take a deep breath
Exhale
Get the gun
Rack the shell
Then I stop to think about it

I breathe in
Thinking this could be
My very last breathe
I stop to think again
I need to say good-bye

Dear Mom and Dad,
This isn’t your fault
Tell all my friends
I will see them again

Some one take care of my dog
She means the world to me
As for my things just leave them be

Exhale
The memories flood my mind
For a minute the demon fades away
I remember the great times
I shared with everyone

The more I think about it
I gain control
I don’t want to let go
I can’t give in
I have to fight the demon
The demon inside

Breathe in
I take the shell
Out of the gun
Put it away
And lock the door
