I’m sure it’s no shock
You get over things easy
I suppose I forgot

I forgot the idea
Of heartache and pain
You’re still on my mind
It drives me insane

I stay awake, thinking
Of how it once was
And then how it ended
And simply because

Our love disappeared
We slowly stopped talking
But your presence is still here

The old you, I mean

And my pain can’t be seen

It’s as if you’re still here
And the “us” isn’t dead

For fear that my feelings
Will turn into lies
