Attack On America

Glass flew and papers scattered,
On September 11, 2001 the heart of America was shattered,
Thousands upon thousands of innocent lives were lost,
And it leaves us wondering why they had to pay such a deadly cost,
Two airplanes were flown into the world trade center buildings,
another flown into a pentagon,
and a last into a field,
killing all upon impacting,
Surviviors in the rubbel do still remain,
Waiting in despair and agony hoping to be saved,
Many searched for family,
hoping to find them alive,
Most of them knowing deep down,
that the chances were low for them to have survived,
Rescue workers worked hour after hour,
searching for victims,
Cleaning up the mess and turning,
prayer for strength and power,
The heartless coward that committed this act are yet to be known,
But whoever they are and wherever they may be,
They will eventually pay the price,
For what they had done,
The foundation of our country was forever changed,
And the lives of our people were completely rearranged,
So to those whose lives were lost,
Our thoughts and prayers will stay with you,
May you always rest in peace,
And we will never forget you...
