This my Illusive Reality

This my illusive reality
Where truth melts into dreams
Where the line between wrong
And right is forever changing
Shaping all I cannot
Or perhaps simply will not see

This my illusive reality
Where validity gives way to fantasy
Where nothing is as it seems
A perpetual masquerade
Is this, my reality

Illusions shape meaning
And meaning implicates nothing
Masked strangers weaving
All that is
Everything that was
All that will never be..

Dreaming dreams of horror
Characterizing bliss
Contradicting one another
But somehow it all makes sense.

Everything a deviation
From what it should all be
Everything abhorred and yet adored
Thrives within me

A murad of questions befall
From apathetic lips
The how’s and why’s
…its neverending

Lovers scorned
Friendships elapsed
All because they didn’t care
Or simply couldn’t see
That all that I am
And have come to be
Was a direct result
Of this, my illusive reality.
