Layers of nothing
layers of this
layers that cover me and my life
layers of cool
layers of smart
layers of something, to tell me apart
But under the layers,
of what you think I am,
is something you will never understand
something scared
something afraid of rejection
something lost
something you will never see
because what you don't see is what really is me.
