You left so suddenly,
You were the best, the best you could ever be,
You were the one who lived down the street,
You were the one with bare ankles on your feet.
You used to jump up so high,
Never thought I’d actually have to say good bye,
Now that you’re gone, I begin to cry,
You used to talk to me when I wanted to die.
You and Dan came over to jump,
On my trampoline, the king of hump,
And the day you told me you wore skirts,
Made me realize why you and Dan were such flirts.
I knew you were just kidding though,
I’ve had feelings for you, ones you’d never know,
You were like a brother to me,
It didn’t show, it was something you couldn’t see.
I waited to see you, every day,
Never thinking of you going away,
You made fun of the one I care for,
But your face I truly adore.
Let’s see, recap, you had bare ankles on your feet,
You have always lived down the street,
We talked about you wearing a skirt,
We talked about you being a flirt.
But now you’re gone you see,
And you’ll never come back to me,
I’ll forever miss you so,
Never let our memories go.
I remember when we use to walk home,
No we don’t live in Rome,
My friend and I would watch you jump,
Never having thoughts of you to hump.
Now you’ve moved, you’re on your way,
9 more hours until you get there on Friday,
So good bye my friend, and I wish you best,
I've cared about you more than you than you would have ever guessed.
