Reaching out for someone
Who isn’t even there
Wanting a shoulder to lean on
Someone to actually care
Your helplessness is overwhelming
Not knowing what to do
Or how to handle this pain
That is now overtaking you
Tears stream down your cheeks
Sorrow fills your eyes
Tell me my friend,
Why is it that you cry?
Is it for the choices you made,
That now fill you with regret?
Or the times you lost your temper,
That are putting you in this fret?
Or could it be your loved ones
Of which you carelessly harmed?
Or maybe some of the lies you told
That causes you to be so alarmed?
Whatever the reason, please don’t cry
And please promise me
That you won’t ever wish to die
For your life is so amazing
Filled with so much passion and good
I will always be here caring for you
Treating you like a good friend should
