Onlooker Delay 2/26/2003
Twisting, swirling void
Of bleak and despair
All we try to avoid
but all which we stare

Blinking lights blare
revealing the scene
brake lights shown bare
rain ruining the serene

Quick medics rush
to save this mans soul
the rain distills the hush
as his bells toll

Squealling tires, crash
another onlooker delay
a man hung in backlash
of anothers day

For his accident
is anothers play
just another dent
in our worlds mainstay

Death just a passing gleam
in the mirror in the rain
washing at the seams
the blood of our veins

For all that we fight
for that we say
for all our life becomes
were just another onlooker delay
