This is who I am: a queen, born through the Niles womb, given life by my
Heavenly Father; God Supreme. I am beauty, I mean look at me.
Nigerian blood running through my veins, surging like the Juju drum. I am a
queen by birthright. Mother Africa being the mother of all, birthing each
child through her rich and supple womb, new beings, new breeds, ooooh my
soul longs for you.
As I sleep under the new heaven in this new earth, looking at the full moon,
I think of what you use to be, the fire that once burned so deeply.
Here I am: Nigerian by blood but wanting so much more.
Had to leave the place of my birth, my nativity to follow my destiny, but
one day mummy people will say as they behold me, look at the daughter of the
queen, shining brillantly. Hail the next queen.
My coal is now a diamond.
This is who I am with my little curves, a gap in my smile, eyes that
searches your soul, reading your secrets, unraveling your inner mysteries. I
am reborn, born again to the life that once was lost, now found, but I
can't forget the life that I now have,
Nigerian by blood.
I am now one of them. I have now learned their ways, I am now different.
Mother, where are you?
I searched for years without you. My brothers and sisters did not welcome
me, they left me, now I am adopted into a new family. I have changed mother,
I am no longer just Nigerian by blood, something new has been placed in me.
My DNA has changed I am now a mixed breed. Nigerian by blood, American by
breed, this is who I am too. This is me. I feel lost in between. Mother, I
need a balance how can I be both, I can not neglect one and not the other.
Mother, I need you. What am I to do?
Nigerian by blood, American by breed. Now I see two visions even three, but
they are one. One of Nigerian and another American and one is just too hazy
to see.
Mother, Mother, I need you to solve this mystery, show to me my destiny. My
life is in search of me, the next queen to be.
Nigerian by blood American by breed. When I look in the mirror, I see what I
use to be, then I blink and I am back to the new me. Mother, your words i
thirst for as I travel this land to my dreams, which is my dream: the next
queen and oh God! Here comes my king? I don't even know what and who I
am how can I be a queen to this man?
Mother, Mother hear your daughter's cry. Maybe you have forgotten me
because I'm no longer what I use to be. Maybe mother, it's not
that you don't want to answer me, maybe you just can't recognize
me, because I am no longer Nigerian by blood I am now American by breed, the
next queen. I now must enter my destiny, until the end mother. I must take
the throne . This is what my Father wants for me. I must live this life and
walk this walk for all of those who are like me. Nigerian by blood, American
by breed. I am the beginning of the new breed.
