Silver Stars

I close my eyes tightly, wish I wasn't here,
Into the darkness and silver stars I peer,
Climbing to my feet, I begin to run,
Giving no thought to what's being done,
Quickening my pace, my breaths the only sound,
My feet stomp harder, and my chest pounds,
Tears of red stream down my face,
This bloody mess is all I taste,
The wind whistles passed my ears,
And hurriedly wipes away all the tears,
The air is ripped out from inside,
I feel as though I just died,
My legs crumble and my knees hit the ground,
I pray that I will never be found,
Falling over, gravel embedded in my skin,
I'm so determined that you will never win,
I lay in the street, bleeding and broken,
This life would've been better if I'd never even woken.
