Sunlight plunges in the dark,
Aloft the barn a swallow harks,
Rune-light shows the hidden marks,
Beneath the Satter-field.
Waves carress the silent shores,
An old dame speaks forgotten lores,
New hand open once-closed doors,
Beneath the Satter-field.
Morning-glories soon will call,
The coming of a dew-laid fall,
A little babe now finds her doll,
Beneath the Satter-field.
Flowing songs are calling you,
In the fall, the season a-new,
Can you go without one clue,
Beneath the Satter-field.
And on you go along loft,
And hear the swallows' song so soft,
Remember the tales you once heard oft,
Beneath the Satter-field.
