On the 5th of May,
I decided I would say,
"Happy Mother's Day"
In my own special way...

It's been 14 long years,
Time flies doesn't it?
I've cried some tears,
And you might have, too.
But to trade what we have,
Is just something I couldn't do!
You're my mother,
And I like it that way.
Your words and opinions mean a lot,
And your smile makes my day.
Yes, some times have been tough,
But the water can't be calm,
If it hasn't been rough.
I know you'll worry,
But I promise I'll be okay.
Because with every mistake,
The sun will rise to a new day.
I'm going to try,
To be all that I can be.
I can't do it alone though.
It's you I need supporting me.
So basically what I'm saying,
Is that I will always love you,
And every night I'm praying,
That you will always love me.
Together we can do this.
We'll walk this unknown path together.
And we'll stay strong,
Through all of our bad weather.
