Gone.

Like yesterday is gone,
Like an early morning dawn,
Like a face that isn't drawn,
The world continues on.

Gone,

As i should be so soon,
Like a song sung out of tune,
Like an empty room,
What remains is fragile gloom.

Gone,

Like a baby's laugh,
Like Moses and his staff,
The thinking of a man who's daft,
Like promises in half.

Gone,

Like sounds caught in one's throat,
Like a music note,
Like waves rocking up a boat,
Like happiness afloat.

Gone.
