Whispers

Where have gone the whispers?
Silent tellers of our lives
Keepers of unknown secrets
In which the truth slowly becomes a lie

Such things we take for granted
As children, we are so pure
Whispers keep us dreaming...
Let us be children a little more

Time has claimed our whispers
And age keeps us from looking back
Lost to us, our silent speech
As the years change naive lies to facts

What once was known is now forgotten
As our mature voices claim the reigns
Where they've gone, we'll never know...
But these memories of whispers are sure to fade
