Sleep burned her eyes
Thoughts haunted her mind
She felt empty
One tear fell, It was all she could find.

More fearful darkness fell
She didn’t know what was wrong
Life was a living hell
She couldn’t take this any more.

All she wanted was to be told it was okay.
To have an arm put around,
To do it her way.

Who would do this?
Who would let her cry?
That is what she wished for,
As she turned off the light.
