Even though you clipped my wings
thew me inside a small room,
wih nothing but my shattered dreams
But I am a bird
and I am free

You speak words of venom,
they eat away and claw constantly
at my mind.
I sit here and wonder of anyone cares
But I am a bird
and I am free.

Your eyes light up when you see me cry
My tears are your energy
I'd wish you'd change your mind me-
your setting up my life by the minute
But I am a bird
and I am free.

You suddenly climb in to my little darkened room,
Tall and smilling, your knife gitters in the morning light
I'd been wishing it that it would end
but not like this
But I am a bird
and i am free

Your dager comes down at me
My own blood at your fingertips
I see the look on your face
pure laughter and pleasure
I drift away ever so quietly, and I watch as you repeatly stab me.
Now I am a bird
Thank you for making me finally free.
