I have an angel
She is earthbound
I’ve known her all my life
She is the best to be found

When I was little
I was a handful I know
But whenever I was hurt or sick
She would care for me as I continued to grow

The years of adolescene swept in
The emotions grew more
Still, she spoke to me
Easing my heart to the core

I left for college
Ready to be on my own
Still, I am her baby
Even when I have my own home

The years were rough
I was about to fail the test
But the words of wisdom echoed
She said “Give it your best”

I love her so much
I can find no other
My heart extends
To my dear sweet mother
