He Was The Reason

He was her reason for life.
His touch clamed her fears
And kiss made her smile.
He held her whole life in his hands.

She was blind to his actions.
In her eyes, he did no wrong.
Full-heartedly she loved and adored him
and wouldn’t believe people saying he was hurting her.

He was slowing letting her slip through his fingers.
She pushed the thoughts away that maybe he didn’t love her.
He held her in his arms, saying how sorry he was for a mistake
She could never leave him, even though she knew it was right.

She was tired of crying
She couldn't make excuses anymore.
Grabbing a razor, she cried one final time for him.

He was given a note, written by her.
Saying simply: “I loved you, I still love you, and I will always love you”
Knees hitting the floor, tears streaming down his face
He realized all she wanted was to be loved.
