His life was like a party, Mom, that's what everybody said.
You would tell him not to drink, Mom, but he wouldn't listen to a word
you said.
I feel really proud, Mom, kids usually do.
He loved us a lot the way that he said he would.
He did a lot for others, Mom, even when he was down.
But sometimes when you needed him he wasn't always around.
As I go to sleep, Mom, I think of how it would have been.
If this desperate woman would not have sinned.
She didn't really love him, Mom, and didn't really care.
She didn't stop to think of all our despair.
Sometimes I feel lonely, Mom, and think about the day.
The day my Nana almost took her life away.
Was there blood all around him, Mom?
I guess I'll never know.
Who was the third person, Mom, the one who decided to help let him go.
They classified it as suicide, Mom, I know that's not the truth.
Why did she commit the crime, Mom?
I know she didn't know exactly what to do.
If I could have saved him, Mom, would everything have been all right?
I guess it wouldn't have, because then we wouldn't have Wendell in
our life.
I know I'm just a child, Mom, and she didn't think of me.
I'm not the one she has to deceive.
I want you to know I love you, Mom, and Wendell too.
But I also love and miss my daddy, Mom, and want to know the truth!
