I have been thinking a lot lately
And its seems to be about you
I know you may not realize what you have done for me
But your life has changed mine forever
You tell me not to cry when you go
But you make it so hard for me not to
With all the sweet poems and e-mails
All it does is make me want to cry more
Just when I think I am going to be ok
I get something from you and then I break down again
I know you want to keep what we have
And so do I but things are going to change
But everything you have done with me and for me
I will remember in my heart
I don’t know if you understand how much I love you
I know those are strong words
But only if you could see yourself through my eyes
Maybe you would understand why I say them
But I just wanted to thank you for all the memories you have brought me
And don’t every forget that I will always be there for you in a heart beat
Through every obstacle on Earth’s path

Sometimes I wish I could forget you
And then all my pain would go away
But then I would lose what I had
And what I treasure most, everything with you
I know you don’t want to hear this from my mouth
But now that I realize how much I need you
And that you are leaving me just don’t forget everything we have
I truly love you too much to let you go
I won’t give up on this relationship and I hope you don’t either
Everyone says that love is hard work and it is
I just hope you love me enough to keep working at it
Sometimes we just seem to give up on things
Even if they mean the world to us
Please don’t let us become another one of those cases
I give my word that I will do my part
Just don’t forget about everything we have

I sure haven’t forgot the words that left your mouth your last day
The “I love you” and “don’t forget me”
Well I won’t
And I hope that you remember me always in your heart
