I hear the bells,
the service is over,
they lower it into the ground.
good-bye they cry,
but they'll never know,
Just how dead I am.

I was dead before,
They put me in that casket,
before they closed the lid,
From the day I came into this world,
from the day, I joined the dead.

I watch them now,
from my fiery hell,
wishing I could be alive,
To touch my boyfriends hair,
to touch my child with gentle loveing care,
To show them that I can love now too.

But i was dead before,
They had put me in the casket,
before they closed that lid,
From the day I came into this world,
From the day,I had joined the dead.

I see her there, My daughter fair,
With eyes of weeping stone,
a soft hand, brushes the grass away,
from my tomb of weed and dirt
She askes me why I left her,
I try to tell her so,
But she can't listen or maybe she won't,
oh god, why did i do it to me!
