Inside My Sadness by Lynn J.R.
I live here now
here where you left me
living inside my sadness
inside clear fragile walls
that were built by you
the sun shines through
and the world from here
is a colorful prism
a transparent rainbow
signifying the passing of a storm
I watch it all move so slowly
everything I see is elevated
absent of gravity
or is it just me descending
I live here now
inside my sadness
within an elongated bubble
moist walls
and a steady saline drip
I know the storm has not passed
it has consumed me
it will absorb me
I will evaporate to nothing
but the salty resin
I leave behind
