What Fills The Heart

Tear drops, a mans heart sinks deep into his chest,
One robbing the other of his undying love for her.
Born into a world of loneliness and regret,
That’s what fills a heart with PAIN

She stays out late with friends,
Never comes around anymore, never even calls to say hi.
Half the time she’s not home, the other half she with him,
That’s what fills a heart with LONELINESS

The so-called friend is never there,
He said “he’ll never leave me, said he’ll always care, and yet he’s never
there.
Now I’m always forgotten, and the always left behind,
That’s what fills the heart with NO TRUST

We spent the time we had avoiding each other,
It seems as if everyone else gets the best of you, and I just get what’s
left.
You throw all that I had to give away, my love, my loyalty, and compassion.
That’s what fills the heart with DOUBT.

All I ever wanted was to truly love you,
My heart burned with passion, and you stomped it out
You pushed once I laughed, you pushed twice I wept, and the third time I
just walked away
That’s what leaves the heart with NO HOPE

I came back one time the next I’m not sure,
Salty tears stains her once rosy cheeks
When he sees her walk away, for the last time,
That’s what leaves the heart with NO VALUE OF LIFE.

I’ve failed to truly be there for her as I once promised,
“So why the hell would I expect her to love me?”
Sometimes away back inside someone’s heart,
Is hard to find when your TRAPPED outside the heart.

All these things are cause and effect,
There for it does not help to show her neglect
Its there as long as you read between the lines
Such PROFOUND WORDS instilled inside the heart of he who cares most
