Burning

Struggling for air,
I can't breathe.
Tears of nervousness,
Flood my eyes.

Drops of blood fall,
As I slit my wrists.
The room starts to darken,
As I grow weaker.

Falling to the ground,
I here your faint voice.
Calling out my name,
While running up the stairs.

It's all in slow motion,
My heart begins to slow.
The excruciating pain,
All of a sudden becomes numb.

Closing my eyes,
I take my last breath.
As you rush into my room,
With a suffering look upon your face.

Wrapping your arms around me,
My blood seeps through your clothes.
As you weep away your sorrows,
I feel the burning within me.
