frolic then die

You’ve spent your life praying for death to come rescue you,
But come three feet before your grave, and your wishing it all back.
The past was your excuse, and you used it against your will.
You became a packrat of your memories,
never letting go of what held you down.
Find a rose pretty enough to remember that you are missed.
Find a rose dead enough to know what you did miss.
