"The Cold

The dark night that is life
Suffocated by the cold.
The dreaded feelings of despair swallow the soul
"It's so cold."

No truth, just loneliness,
A crouching cat ready to pounce,
Always hidden in the darkness
"What is this cold?"

Hatred for everything, even self.
Like a crazy suicidal maniac hidden on a street corner.
Looking for the easy way out, though there isn't one.
"I'm freezing"

Death,
Is a way out or an answer,
Or does it just cause more pain
"I feel like I'm slipping."

Relentless pain,
The night getting darker, colder
Nowhere to run, noplace to hide.
"I'm scared"

Life is empty, a horrible feeling
Worse than the darkest torture chambers.
Emptiness, the devil's tool, cousin to the dark
"There is no escape"

Enveloped in fear
The cold and darkness become too much to bear
Everything begins to fade to black
"Goodbye to this world that has bore me"
