My Faint Rain

Wake up to another morning
Bounded by the life you once knew
Walk the streets of the outside
Locating the reality that haunts you
Breath in this stale air
Breathe out this exhaustion
Hating yourself to sleep each night
Living in a world of deep depression
You refer to the rain as Heaven's tears
When you don't believe in God at all
You act as thought death is the answer
Everyone dies, everyone falls
Left behind in a world you can't bare
Crying out words that don't make sense
You shut out those who try to help
Putting up walls of great defense
I'll hold you in my arms
And shield you from this pain
But you're nothing but a faint memory
Your endless tears are now the rain
Your face haunts my broken mind
Your voice interrupts my sanity
My missing you won't ever stop
Until your memory consumes me
