As quietly and still you lay
On this lovely day of May
Here are some words we are about to say

We sit and remember all the times we’ve had
Even if we were mad, or if they were sad
But we all know that you would want us to be glad

You are now in a better place
Everyday we think of your face
But we know that you cannot and will not be replaced

You are a bright light
And you are still in full sight
And tonight is still your night

Goodbye, there is no sadder word to say
But you are never going to go away
Today is still your day.
