"The Deep, Cold Ocean

Wandering aimlessly
Along the shores of the freezing ocean.
No seagulls or seashells to be seen
Just emptiness off in the distance.
"Don't go in the water,
You'll surely freeze to death"
I hear a voice inside me say.
Tempting fate I take a step towards the freezing water.
The fish no longer live
They lay on the bottom of their ocean tomb.
No movement.
"Stay back, don't go, you'll die"
The annoying voice comes in again.
I step my feet into the freezing water
And take them back out immediately.
IT'S SOOOOO COLD.
My toes are already frostbitten by the freezing water.
I turn back towards the ocean
"I told you not to go"
Says the awful voice in my head.
SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP!!!!
I'VE HEARD ENOUGH
I WILL DO WHAT I PLEASE
NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS
I WILL ENTER THE WATER
AND LET IT'S HANDS CONTROL MY FATE
"If you go you will surely die"
I face the water and inch ever closer towards it.
As I prepare to enter I stare out into the emptiness
The loneliness beyond.
I lean out towards the ocean
Say my last goodbye
And jump.
