The Saddest Little Sharpie

The Saddest Little Sharpie,
It could only write in black.
Instead of just being the everyday black sharpie
The color was what it did lack.

The Saddest Little Sharpie,
Creative was it you know.
But green with purply polka dots
Was the color it did not show.

So the Saddest Little Sharpie
Was quick to give up its dream.
It would never write in green with purply polka dots,
Or at least that was how it did seem.

The Saddest Little Sharpie
Would sit on the desk and cry.
For hopes and dreams were shattered
With no explanation saying why.

Then one day on the desk once again,
The Sad Little Sharpie did find
That maybe green with purply polka dots
Wasn't all in its mind.

The Saddest Little Sharpie found
The green with purply polka dots, for that's what it saw,
Then it stared at the writing,
Admiring it with awe.

The Saddest Little Sharpie
Saw that it was dipped in the ink.
The green and purply polka dotted paint
Filled up the bathroom sink.

The Saddest Little Sharpie
Was estatic with joy.
It started writing everything in green
With purply polka dots, oh boy!!

The moral of this poem
Goes as such.
You can always dream
Dreams can amount to so much.
Even if you think it's impossible
For just a day
You may find you'll get
The green with purply polka dots in some way.
Just hope and dream
There'll come that day
Hang onto your dreams
Don't toss them away.
