Requiem By Moonlight

A requiem by moonlight
Fading fast in dawns cold grasp
That night spent away from everything
Last thoughts; few regrets
Along a dusty path
Weary feet tread
Life almost gone from me
Last night spent alone
In nostalgic reverie
Somehow by the moon
I managed one last breath
Words upon my lips never heard
Silent painless death
Show me to the heavens
Lift me to the stars
No hurry
It’s just me
Ready to be gone
From a world where no one knew me truly
Left me to myself
Never opened up
A closed door
My life sits on the shelf
Among endless volumes
Forgotten tales of lives lived
Grand and dull
It matters not their content
But never read they remain
No thoughts spent on their adventures
None of them can express their pain
To live a life in vain
To go insane
To die of shame
To lose the game
Never to live again…
New morning falling rain
No sun no moon
Gloomy afternoon
No one cared to get to know me
Always I was on my own
Words upon my lips never heard
“Those unloved die alone”
