How can any nation be so pitiful?
to say if you're conservative, of if you're liberal
about issues that shouldn't even be political
governing the free seems to be hypocritical

gay marriages shouldn't even be a debate
how sacred is something that's so easily escaped?
if it's their life partner shouldn't it be their pick?
and how the fuck does it involve the president?

when there's a war going on under false pretenses
wasn't it Bin Laden who tried to beat us senseless?
but we gave up on him, instead we caught Sadaam,
took over Iraq and didn't find a single bomb

We should focus on cleaning up our own bullshit
and abolish the out-of-hand censorship
I refuse to build my life around what offends others.
shouldn't values be instilled by a father and mother?

Don't say entertainment warped a childs mind
put some blame on the parents for a childs crime
Don't blame music, parents mis-lead them too,
with the phrase "do as I say, not as I do"

And now we're out of control with sensetivity
and shit a fuckin brick when we see nudity
cuz that's something that a child cannot bare to see
but violence is ok on national tv

what kind of double standard are we living by?
where you get what you want when you stand up and cry.
and dare to claim that you're fighting "the good fight"
by trying to dictate what is wrong and right

my morals are my own you can't decide them for me!
or try to fuckin tell me how to raise a family?
you make laws based on greed for your own benifit.
