The tears fall like raindrops from a broken sky
As I stand before you, bearing my lie
Like a present for you, wrapped up neat
I lay it before you, at your feet

And I back away, awaiting your scorn
But you just stand there, staring and torn
Not knowing what to say or do
But all I want is to run to you

All I want is to hold you tight,
To take all this wrong, and make it right
All I want is to change our past
All I want is for us to last

And I’m so sorry for what I’ve done
Sorry that I could not be the one
I’m sorry for all of the pain that I’ve brought
So sorry for all of the damage I’ve wrought

And I find myself here, I’m on my knees
Before you now, begging you please
Please take me again into your arms
I promise to remove all of these harms

I promise from this moment to be true
And I promise to show my love for you
Because I do hold you dear to my heart
You and I must never part
