Defining Tears

Hush my darling,
Your words have no weight here.
You stole my smiles,
And made the flaws so clear.
I pray you stay quiet;
Though you'd like to question.
My love for you, 'tis true;
Though filled with empty affection.
My heart has been left;
Defeated; and Broken.
My soul is scarred and blistered,
By your thoughts, carelessly spoken.
I'd like to believe,
That you could love me somehow.
Even though my heart's alone,
More pain and hurt you won't allow.
Never sacrifice yourself.
Won't put your heart on the line.
Won't show me how you really feel.
Only let your tears define.
I capture the expression,
You left on your face.
The moment you watched,
Your angel fall from grace.
Watch the stars fall,
Let them trinkle down.
Until they meet their end,
In this place where I drown.
I writhe in your tears,
That upon me, you left.
So that I may remember,
The pain that you kept.
The pain grows deeper;
I can't handle any more pain.
I only wish we had more time,
To explain what we had to explain.
No time for forgiveness.
No time for the truth.
No time to hear my side;
Just more time for you.
I wish we'd stop crying,
That you'd take the pain you've placed.
I only hope that you'd forgive me
-but I'll miss the way the tears did taste...
