How do I secure a place within your heart
who will play that special part

the friend, the lover, and the wife
I want to be the lead for life

my mind and spirit devoted to you
this is not an act I do on cue

so much of my soul I have bartered
so don't say "this can't go any farther"

waiting on the casting couch for you to choose
this battle for your heart I'm not willing to lose

now what will determine if I get the part
will it be"I love you" whispered in the dark or legs spread far
apart

what will clinch that title role
the one that lets me win your soul

is it what I do while on my back
or the bond we have please tell me that

don't let the way I ride
be the way that you decide

while holding on to curvy hips
lost within the fullness of my lips

let it be the tender words from my mouth
not what it does that makes you shout

I've thrown my body into this performance
its my love auditioning for one more chance

the script is my blood, sweat and tears
the labor of loving you these past few years

for I've been trying right from the start
to secure a place within your heart
