A Church Coma

sitting uncomfortably in the wooden pews
trying to take notes of the preacher's views
we all stand and sing quietly as one
after the man at the podium says,"Page 231."

its not the good moral people
who go to church purely to worship
but the ones who live a lie under the steeple
those certain bystanders ripped

have you ever been to a pentecostal church?
hands up in the air and making themselves lurch
some can purposefully go unconcious
staring up at the spider web of wood and rust

sometimes i stare at the preacher's bald head
the way it shines to no end
and at the stain glass' pschycodelic colors
and slip into a coma
all for Him on high

*just poking fun at the funny parts of a serious thing i do believe in God
and i really dont want critisism...but some extremest Christians just make
me laugh
