If You Look Within

If you look within my heart
And see how much I have cried
You’ll only find secrets,
Memories of best friends whom have lied

Those best friends who have promised
They’d be there through thick and thin
But what I didn’t realize
Is how easily she would give in

She gave into the hurt
She gave into it all
Now when she’s sees me
I am walking down the hall

Not a word
Not a whisper
Nothing is said
Between me and her

Its like we are strangers
Whom have never each other before
Its like we haven’t shared secrets
Our relationship so torn

What came between us I wonder
Age, the ability to change
Maybe it was me
That let our lives rearrange

What happened
Was I all that wrong
I thought we were the best of friends
Our relationship so strong

Apparently I was sightless
I was oh so blind
To see what we had wasn’t real
I have yet so much to find

Look what happened
Look what changed
Look how you let our friendship
Rearrange
