she sits at home with her cats
loneliness swallows her dreams
kids throw rocks through her windows
nothing is as it seems
the world is full of darkness and hate
through ms. walker's eyes

she's the head cheerleader
the one that they call pretty
boys line up by her locker
they think she's smart and witty
the world is full of joy and happiness
through liz johnson's eyes

her father hits her every night
she is never good enough
the kids at school mock and hate her
not knowing her life is rough
the world is full of evil and corruption
through poor jenny's eyes

he's the young one with good looks
has been spoiled his entire life
he goes to college on his father's checkbook
he's never been through strife
the world is full of second chances
through rich timmy's eyes

he just got laid off from his job
because he has gotten too old
but he has nothing left to give his wife
no money in his billfold
the world is full of bitter unjustness
through john sander's eyes

everyone's outlook is different
to some it's full of evil and lies
to others, full of pleasurable highs
but the best advice ever given to me is to
remember what it's like through someone else's eyes
