She sits in a church
Praying for a sign
Wishing God will take her
Hoping it’s her time

She wants her way out
Because she’s been beaten and abused
Neglected and abandoned
Tossed aside and used

This is how it’s always been
Her whole life since she was born
Always broken down in spirit
Her emotions always torn

Why wont God just take her
Carry her soul away
Rescue her from this torment
Leave her body here to stay

She’s not sure why he keeps her here
Why she’s part of his plan
Why her wings haven’t been given to her
So they can be spread at full span

She’s an angel in waiting
Waiting for her grace
Waiting for her savior
To take her from this place

Until her time comes
She is meant to stay strong
God is using her as his worker
But he wont keep her here long
