The Looking Glass

Tell me what you see that makes you so great.
Take a glance in the looking glass,
Tell me all the thoughts that I surpass.

I can’t seem to figure out what makes you different from the rest.
I’m sorry that I don’t find you gorgeous,
But none the less,
God sent you here for some one to bless.

Take a look in the mirror my friend,
And maybe you too will see.
This perfect life you weave has its flaws.
And as much as you may think,
No one is perfect, not even you, my dear.

You see what I see every morning,
You see someone who is afraid;
Someone just like me.
It scares you too,
You just don’t always publicly agree.

You can’t depend on the rest of the world to hold you up the rest of your
life,
Sometimes it’s all up to you.
And sometimes, it is you;
Who falls.
