I found you in a dream with me
Once perfect, it seemed so real
A dream turned to a nightmare
When the true you were revealed.

Our love was so exceptional
Forever it would last,
Until you changed a year later
Those feelings were part of the past.

People were often envious
Apparently they didn’t know–
Just exactly what went on
And the feelings I didn’t show.

While many days went by,
You were still the one I adored
These feelings inside grew worse,
I felt lonely, used and ignored.

You’ve had a hold of me
And from the very start
You’ve conquered my mind, body and soul...
Not to mention, you’ve stole my heart.

The beginning was too good to be true
Everything seemed to be going great
But those feelings of love I once had,
Have now turned to distrust and hate.

Now I see the truth
And you can never change my mind
One thing I’ve learned for sure,
Is that love is truly blind.
