People ask me
What do I want in a best friend
I just want her to be there

Trust is the most important thing
That I will ask for from you
I want you to be honest in

I want to know what
You think and feel
I want you to make promises
And keep them for real

I hate to ask for your
Trust because trust in
A relationship
Is a must

We don’t all know that
Because I have been lied to so many times before
By my best friends
And oh so many more

I ask you to love me
In a way that best friends do
I want you to know
That I will love you too

Please listen
To what I have to say
Because my heart isn’t a toy
Its not something you should play
