Such Simple Pain

I fear this world is dieing
right beneath my feet
slipping ever so slowly
in a battle I can't seem to beat.
I'ld ask for help but there's
not one living soul can I find
who won't turn away
at the sight of my sad face so kind.
The evidence of my pain
is clear upon my skin
I can't see the end
or where this did begin.
Please don't ignore me now
I need you more than ever
my life is suddenly crumbling
in a monsterous destroying splender.
This simple pain
I thought I could take
but more and more
my happiness I fake.
I know I'm not alone
on this retched place called earth
but often times I feel I am
and this life is not what it's worth.
