The one I've loved for oh so long
Has left me to carry on
The greatest mistake of my life
Has left me with so much strife
The thing is that you're my favorite mistake
I gave you my heart to take
My faith in you is now gone
I must find the strength to carry on
I've gone six feet under, into my grave
I wish you would've stayed
I made my mistake when I let you go
But I still want you to know, I love you so
I should've known my life would change
As you went farther out of range
I miss your voice and your love
I pray to the Lord above
I want your touch, wanna see your face
Wanna kiss your lips each and every day
Hold me tight, day and night
Never let me out of sight
The best mistake I've ever made
My love for you will never fade
I crave for you and how you love me
I want you so badly to see
You will never leave my heart or my life
You're a part of me, my soul, & my strife
